The Green Lunch Series is designed to help connect people in our local communities with the chance to learn together about things that people are doing to create positive, on-the-ground solutions. Rural Action staff, service members and members have the chance to share about their work and engage the community in discussion about ways we can help create sustainable economic development together. These sessions focus on local perspectives and solutions.
Please join us on Tuesday, October 14th from 12:00PM- 1:00PM at the Plains Public Library in the conference room to discuss the Importance of Grass-Roots Efforts to Address Climate Change. Please join in the conversation with Dr. Ryan Fogt, a climate scientist who will review some notable climate impacts of 2025 already and how vital grass-roots efforts are to climate resiliency, mitigation, and education.
This is a free to attend, brown bag lunchtime discussion. Bring your lunch and join us for the noon hour as we discuss local sustainability efforts!
