Humor Sessions : Insight # 65 : The Art of Self-Deprecating Humor

'The Art of Self-Deprecating Humor'- In this Humor Session the expert will talk about a format where the person knows one's own weaknesses and shortcomings and isn't afraid to point them out in a humorous way.

Being self-deprecating is usually considered a good trait a quality of someone with a wry sense of humor. But it has some dos and don'ts that need to be understood.

The Art of Self-Deprecating Humor is all about making fun of yourself and not self-loathing or self-sabotaging which are less amusing forms of putting yourself down. In this session attendees will learn the correct use and formation of self-deprecation in creating comedy!

This Humor Session is Happening on 16th October 2025 at 8 PM IST (India Time) on Zoom.

'Humor Sessions' is an initiative by India's Premiere Comedy Training Academy 'Cafe Comedy' for all aspiring and working comedians. This is where an expert shares a brief insight about comedy during an hour-long session.
