The innovative jazz trio of the Irish rising star Charlie Moon forms a new conception of the traditional guitar trio format by blending vocal jazz with hard bop, blues and swinging standards - an undeniably brilliant fusion rarely heard in small ensembles.
During his performance at JAZZ Charlie Moon joins forces with the versatile Italian bassist Andrea Caruso and brilliant Peruvian drummer Bruno Timarchi bringing an undeniable unique sound.
In Ireland and beyond, Charlie’s artistic journey has flourished. He has released acclaimed albums with his sextet and as a solo artist, contributed to several others and he is now poised to unveil a new project with his organ trio, Organ Freeman, featuring Michael Buckley - the most important and influential musician in the Irish jazz scene.
Adding to his impressive credentials, Charlie holds two of Dublin's most sought-after jazz residencies and regularly appears at Arthur’s Blues & Jazz Club in Dublin and Scott’s Jazz Club in Belfast, consistently delivering engaging performances with his own groups and with touring international acts such as Jocelyn Gould and Bruce Barth.
