TCS Talk - 2nd October (7:30pm) - Tewkesbury Library
On Thursday 2nd October (7:30pm) we have an illustrated talk “The Archaeology and History of Bredon Hill” at the Tewkesbury Library. Our speaker is Deborah Overton.
Deborah is a retired landscape archaeologist and former Worcestershire County Sites and Monuments Record Officer. She has experience in public engagement and education, and her presentations offer clear, well-informed perspectives on the historical and archaeological significance of places like Bredon Hill. Deborah will give us insight into the shapes, furrows, dwelling bases, villas, hoards, wells, places of worship, ramparts, fortifications, ancient ways, entrances and burial sites.
This will be an interesting talk, giving many a new understanding of this familiar landmark so near to Tewkesbury.
An entrance fee for our talk on Thursday is payable on the door: £3 for members and £4 for non-members.
