Are you a fan of The Great Pottery Throw Down? We are delighted to have 2024 finalist, Dave Short, to teach hand building the fun Gluggle Jug. Gluggle jugs are a noisy and amusing ceramic vessels first made in the Victorian era and recently popularised as a main make on the Great Pottery Throw Down TV programme.
Hand-build a personalised clay Gluggle Jug.

Skill level: Suitable for beginners and those with a little experience aged 12 and over, including adults
All materials and tools supplied. We will supply an apron but would suggest wearing clothes and shoes that you don’t mind getting clay on (The clay doesn’t stain and fully washable).
In this workshop you will: · Make, personalise and decorate a gluggle jug · Your gluggle jug will be glazed and fired. Please note, due to the nature of clay, items sometimes explode or crack in the firing process. You will be informed when it is ready for collection from the Spotty Dog Place, Tewkesbury. This is approximately 2-4 weeks later. Booking is essential, as numbers are limited to 10 students. Payment due when booking.
