Nicholas And Alexandra

Nicolas and Alexandra is a series of six documentaries that follows the lives of the last Tsar and Tsarina of Russia. This is an in-depth look at the lives of these two historical figures, the events, the people, the pressures that surrounded them and influenced their actions eventually leading to the great catastrophe of 1917/18. Recent world events cannot be fully understood without an appreciation of modern Russian history and the convulsions that the country has experienced and continues to experience to this day. There will be a discussion session following each documentary to clarify and enlarge on topics explored in each episode.
