Capturing the Cosmos with Far Flung Outdoor Center

I'm super excited to announce Mike Michael Simmons Photography and I are teaming up again for our second Milky Way workshop adventure of the year! June 17-20, 2025 we're partnering up with Far Flung Outdoor Center to bring you three amazing nights under the stars of Big Bend National Park and the surrounding area.

This workshop is designed to help you grow as a night photographer, no matter your experience level. Instruction will cover the complete creative and technical process—starting with planning your shots, choosing strong compositions, and using natural terrain and celestial positioning to create compelling images. You’ll learn how to shoot during golden light at sunset, transition into blue hour, and capture the night sky at its peak.
