Open Mic at The Sun

We've been running this session since 2017 and it's become one of Pembrokeshire's best open mics! The Sun Inn makes up for its tiny size with a huge but intimate atmosphere, complete with banter... and the odd bit of heckling. Many of our regulars play covers, but originals are always welcome.

An acoustic guitar and a bass are provided, but feel free to bring your own instrument. Getting a great sound is our top priority, so if you're bringing an instrument without a pickup or a suitable mic, we can't guarantee that you'll be heard over the background noise - we'll try our best but it can get pretty rowdy when the drinks start flowing!

We don't do lists, so you're not limited to 2 songs or 10 minutes by default! Instead, we decide set length and performance slot on the night, depending on how busy it is and who's there.

We're starting a new, weekly (Sunday) open mic on October 5th, just down the road at The Plough Inn, Sageston. This session will run 4-7pm so it'll probably be a bit more relaxed - perfect for trying out your originals or taking to the stage for the first time.
