Dig It! Archaeology Family Day

October 4, 2025 – Dig It! Archaeology Day: Step into the shoes of an archaeologist and uncover the secrets of the past! Kids can get their hands dirty with a mock dig, shape their own pinch pots, and enjoy a variety of crafts inspired by Texas archaeology. Families will learn how archaeologists piece together history while having a blast with activities that spark curiosity and imagination.

Bring the whole family to the Temple Railroad & Heritage Museum on the first Saturday of each month from 10 AM to 1 PM for a day of discovery, creativity, and hands-on fun! Each month features a new theme packed with engaging activities for kids and adults alike. From interactive crafts to live demonstrations, Family Days are the perfect way to learn, play, and make memories together. While you’re here, don’t miss the chance to explore our fascinating exhibits on the 2nd floor!
