As we all know, we lost a great person, a Husband, a Father as well as a hell of a Friend from a horrible bike accident! If you knew Lew, you knew he would help you in any way possible, even if it meant giving you his shirt off his back! An if he didn’t like you, his no filter of a mouth let you know for sure! But he would still help you if he could! That was Lew!
I’m one of the lucky ones to be able to call him a close friend for over 20 years and over those years he helped me become a better pool player (even tho I may have only beat him once or twice in that time cause he got too drunk or let me win lol) to tricks and tips while being on our bikes! The endless knowledge he gave me over those years I’ll forever cherish!
So with this being said, I teamed up with Jill (his wife) cause she’s going to need all the help she can get from all his family and friends! We’re going to be doing a benefit ride for him on Sept 6th from 12 to 430! Followed by a celebration of life from 5pm till 9pm at Temple fire company pavilion!
For the ride, everyone is welcomed, including cars and trucks! We would like for everyone to meet at Temple fire company parking lot around 11-11:30. Kickstands up or cars in drive by 12pm! We will ride from there to Twin lakes (which was one of many favorite spots Lew loved) from there we will stop at Southside Grill then either stop at one more spot if there’s time, if not we’ll head back to Temple fire company to do his celebration of life!
In the event it rains on Sept 6 for the benefit ride, the rain date will be for Sunday Sept 7th (the following day) the same time, 12-4. But the celebration of life will still be for Saturday Sept 6th!
For the celebration of life, there will be a Cash bar, if anyone wants to bring food, you’re more than welcomed to. If you are, just put it in the comments section so everyone knows!
For bikes it’s $20/ per rider $30/ per couple! Cars and trucks $25/ per vehicle! All proceeds will go to Jill to help her in this time of need! We hope to see everyone there and invite as many people know!
