Yale Strom and Hot Pstromi have been performing in San Diego since 1982. Each band member has become a local legend throughout the San Diego music community: Joe McNalley (bass), Fred Benedetti (guitar), Tripp Sprague (reeds), Duncan Moore (percussion) and Elizabeth Schwartz (vocals). Bandleader Yale Strom and vocalist Elizabeth Schwartz are internationally acclaimed klezmer artists. Hot Pstromi has built a solid reputation for infusing each number with exciting improvisation that seamlessly draws from traditional klezmer and Yiddish motifs, cutting edge jazz and the authentic haunting melodies of the Roma.
