How much of who you are today is a reflection of your true, authentic self?
How much of who you are today is influenced by social media?
How much of who you are today is a product of genuine, authentic decisions you made towards your unique individual life?
How much of who you are today is based on decisions you made in order to keep up with your friends, influencers, trends, or even entirely mimicking what or who you saw on social media?
We have all intuitively felt the tug of social media pulling us in a direction that all too often leads us to abandon our gut instincts, our authentic voice of intuition, and make decisions that are based more on mimicking others, following the herd, and living a life that we don't recognize.
One small decision to go with the herd and abandon our true desires feels innocent and insignificant at first. But little by little, we make those decisions more and more, as we abandon our true desires in exchange for attachment and a false sense of belonging, until we wake up one day and no longer recognize our true self or the life we thought we would live.
That was my story.
Five years ago, I made the decision to reconnect with my pre-social media self and rediscover what my values were, my passions and hobbies, my dreams, and most importantly—who I envisioned myself becoming as an adult and the life I would live.
Join me for an evening where I share my story of returning to Israel, the country I was born and raised in, after spending 15 years in Canada, growing up and spending my teenage years alongside the rise of social media and the digital era, where I share my story of how reconnecting with my childhood, pre-social media self has helped me find direction, confidence, and clarity, and reignited a sense of vitality and liveliness in my life, and skills and talents that I would have never imagined I possessed within myself.
See you next week—20:00 on Sunday, August 24th at JTLV located in Allenby 22, Tel Aviv.
Hoping to see you there!
