Screening of 'Sally!' Documentary

As part of the Teaneck International Film Festival, our Society will host a screening of the documentary “Sally!” at the meetinghouse on Thursday, Nov. 13, 7 pm.

Sally Gearhart was a revolutionary lesbian feminist, professor, and fantasy author who spearheaded the 1970s and ’80s US lesbian feminist movement. “Sally!” peels back layers to reveal our heroine’s story, while exploring the complex relationship between spokeswomen like Sally and movements for social change. “Sally!” is a call to action for those committed to social change.

A talkback with the director, Deborah Craig, will follow the screening.
