We’re excited to be hosting a Community Question & Answer Evening along with Recruitment Information for the Te Kauwhata First Response Unit, 3SFL and Area Committee – and we’d love your help to make it a success!
When: Monday, 23 June 2025 6:00 pm-8:30 pm.
Where: Te Kauwhata Ambulance Station, 4 Baird Ave, Te Kauwhata
Why: This evening will be an opportunity for our community to get a true feel for what being a First Response volunteer is all about, showing our visitors who we are, what we do, and how they can get involved.
What’s happening on the night?
• Hear directly from current volunteers about their experiences
• Learn what it takes to become a volunteer – expectations, qualifications, and the kind of people we’re looking for
• Ask any and all questions in a relaxed, open Q&A format
• Visit the station, tour the ambulance, and explore the equipment we use on the job
• Take part in hands-on activities like CPR challenges (against a friend or an Ambulance Officer!)
• Enjoy some light refreshments and have informal chats with the Emergency Services team
• Learn about the different ways to contribute – from operational volunteering to helping facilitate 3 Steps for Life courses or joining our Area Committee to support our unit behind the scenes
