CMO is a timed event covering 5 to 15 miles on horseback. Riders attempt to find 5-10 markers using a map (provided) and compass. Riders may compete as individuals or teams. A practice course will be set up if needed. You will need an orienteering compass (example: Silva 7), available at many camping and discount stores. *We will have some compasses available to borrow or purchase. A fun sport for all ages and disciplines. NEWCOMERS WELCOME!!

FACILITIES: There are 10 equestrian campsites with water and electric hookups. Sites are level and most are shaded. Hitching rails are provided for horses. Site #46 is ADA-compliant. A permanent bathhouse is available.
IMPORTANT INFO: Double-up on sites is allowed. Please reserve accordingly when you call. Trails are mostly dirt with some lake rock and rock in improvement areas. Mud should also be expected on these trails. ***Sunday Checkout is 1 pm
RIDE TIMES: PreRide Meetings: Fri - as needed, Sat 8:30 am, Sunday ride meeting will be at the potluck on Saturday evening. For those not attending the potluck, the ride meeting will be at 8:30 am on Sunday.
Friday first riders out 11 am - last riders out 4 pm for Long course 4 pm Short course Saturday first riders out 9 am - last riders out 3 pm
Sunday First Riders out 8 am - Last riders out 10 am * No rider registration on Saturday after 2:00 PM and Sunday after 9:00 AM
RIDE FEES: Members $12 per rider per day, Juniors $6.
Non-members $17 per rider per day
AWARDS and POT-LUCK: Saturday night awards at 6:00 pm pot-luck dinner to follow.
*compasses will be available to borrow or purchase for $14. A demo course will be in place for practice.
** Day riders are welcome and may park near the equestrian campground.

* Dogs not allowed on trails with competitors during competition
