Ace naval fighter pilot lands in paradise after a lifetime of flying unfriendly skies
After a long international aviation career—during which he served as one of the ace fighter pilots in the French Fleet Air Arm and spent a decade as an emergency medical evacuation pilot—Yann Lehe now calls Rotorua home. For Yann, living in Rotorua feels like being in paradise, and he shares his journey in the most recent article from In Profile.
He has participated in aerobatic displays throughout Europe and enjoys running marathons and triathlons "for fun and fitness."
Yann's personal philosophy is, "If everybody on this planet did a good deed every day, life would be better for everyone."
In 2020, Yann and his wife Jocelyn, who was born in Rotorua, returned to New Zealand to be closer to family. They brought with them a deep appreciation for the unique lifestyle and sense of connection found in Rotorua.
