Taupo Orienteering Club 50th Anniversary Rogaine Series:
Second Event: Tongariro Domain 7th September
Registration:
• Online before midnight Thursday 4th ENTER NOW on

• This will a foot rogaine with a variation.
• This event includes some memory controls. ( Explanation will be given before starting)
• Time allowed 60 minutes
• Start Location: Riverside Park carpark, Redoubt St.
• Start times: Hand out maps for mass start 10.30am. Mass start 10.40 am. Newbies and later arrivals any time up to 11.30 (10 minutes are allowed for planning at least a part of your route prior to start)
Entry Fees:
• Individuals $7 for members and $12 for non-members
• Teams $12 for members and $17 for non-members
• Extra maps for teams: $3 for members and $6 for non-members.
• On the day entries will be charged an extra $5.
Course Notes:
• 10 points per minute will be deducted after 60 minutes ie don’t be late finishing.
• Clip cards will be used and each control will need to be punched in the correct box.
• Note that most of the orienteering flags will be smaller and the clippers will be attached to these.
• Respect Out of Bounds areas, which are marked with vertical red or black lines, or olive green (private properties)
What to bring:
• Compass, marker pens, A4 plastic bag.
Safety:
• Read the safety and course notices on the board at the event centre.
• EVERY competitor must check in at the finish and hand in their clip cards
• All roads are open. Take care with traffic.
• Dial 111 for an emergency
• Ring the Planner (Number is on the Health & Safety notice displayed ) if there are any issues.
Results:
• Will be published in the newsletter, and on the Taupo Orienteering website and facebook page after the event.
