Always wanted to experience the glitz, glamour, and controlled chaos of a film set? Imagine being right in the thick of it – the cameras, the lights, the "Action!"... and then realizing you're making precisely NIL, ZILCH, ZERO, NOT A SINGLE CENT!
But hey, who needs money when you've got the sheer thrill of creativity? The Great Lake Film Society is diving headfirst into the 48 Hour Film Festival, and we're looking for passionate (and financially unmotivated) individuals to join our crew!
Here's the ridiculously fast-paced, non-profit breakdown:
Friday, 7 PM: We get our genre, and the frantic, caffeine-fueled writing begins.
Saturday: This is the day we need YOUR help! It's all hands on deck for shooting! Prepare for epic scenes and questionable catering (probably BYO snacks... in fact, if the snacks are good, please bring some for us too). We will need you to be dressed and ready to pop on set at a moment's notice.
Sunday: The grand finale – we edit like mad, transforming our masterpiece into... well, a masterpiece, within the given timeframe.
So, if you've got a burning desire to be part of movie magic and your bank account is perfectly content staying at its current "comfortable" level, then this is your moment!
It's all for the love of film, the thrill of collaboration, and the bragging rights of saying, "Yeah, I was an extra... and I didn't get paid a dime!"
