F&B Taupō Winter Series: Stu Hutchings - Bike Taupō Predator Control Programme

Stu will be explaining the background and concept behind the trapping programme for Bike Taupō. He will explain how it operates, how it is funded and the types of trapping programmes that are included.

Speaker background: Stu was a veterinarian in Taupo for about 35 years before heading to Wellington to manage the bovine TB programme for OSPRI. He then became CEO of Kiwifruit Vine Health and was responsible for biosecurity for the NZ kiwifruit industry. Most recently he worked for MPI as Chief Biosecurity Officer. He has now retired and taken on the role of managing predator control for Bike Taupō across the 240kms of cycle trails in the district.
