Talk and Tea: Debenhams Memories from the Archives

Join archivist Eve Bickerton as she explores a variety of companies and their impact on the local community with a special focus on the recent Debenhams Memories Project.

Following it’s closure, members of staff from across the Debenhams Head Office in Taunton came together to record their memories of working at Bedford House. The resulting oral history recordings are a heartfelt tribute to the impact the office had on staff and their families.

This talk will examine the highlights of the Debenhams Memories Project and also consider what we can learn from surviving business archives.
