Young musicians are invited to take part in a high-energy afternoon of street music with tutors from Kinetika Bloco – a London-based youth group known for its powerful blend of brass, woodwind, drums, steel pan and movement.
Described by BBC Radio 2 as “a unique new British Carnival sound with a decidedly London edge,” Kinetika Bloco has helped launch the careers of some of the UK’s leading young jazz musicians, including members of Ezra Collective.

Wind, brass and drum players especially welcome
All young musicians can join in with percussion
The session is part of The Sound of the Streets summer programme, run by the music charity promoting street bands and vibrant music-making in public spaces. There’ll also be the opportunity to perform with Kinetika Bloco in Taunton Town Centre on July 13th..
