The Flying Scotsman will be hauling services between Bishops Lydeard and Minehead on the below dates and times.
There will be four excursions per day for travel from Bishops Lydeard to Minehead return. One way will be behind the Flying Scotsman, and one way will be behind a West Somerset Railway Home Fleet locomotive – your journey may either be behind the Flying Scotsman from Bishops Lydeard or your return journey will be behind the Flying Scotsman from Minehead.

Excursion Options:
Excursion 1: 10:00 from Bishops Lydeard to Minehead behind a home fleet locomotive. Return service from Minehead at 12.15 behind the Flying Scotsman.
Excursion 2: 10.40 from Bishops Lydeard to Minehead behind the Flying Scotsman. Return service from Minehead at 12.50 behind a home fleet locomotive.
Excursion 3: 14.30 from Bishops Lydeard to Minehead behind a home fleet locomotive. Return service from Minehead at 16.45 behind the Flying Scotsman.
Excursion 4: 15.10 from Bishops Lydeard to Minehead behind the Flying Scotsman. Return service from Minehead at 17.20 behind a home fleet locomotive.
Your ticket will include:
- Travel, as stated in the excursion you select when purchasing your ticket, which will be hauled one way behind the Flying Scotsman and the other way behind one of our home fleet locomotives as described above.

Ticket Price: £50 per adult & £30 per child (2-15 years old) under 2's travel for free when accompanied by a full paying adult, under 2's will not get a seat. If you require a registered carer ticket you will be required to phone to book 01643 870103.
We have four spaces per train for non-transferable wheelchair passengers and therefore it is essential that you call to make your booking and let us know at the time if you require a space, these will be allocated on a strict first come first served basis. If you fail to inform us of your requirement for an accessible space at the time of booking, then it is highly likely that we will not be able to facilitate your booking on the day.
PETS ARE NOT PERMITTED ON THE FLYING SCOTSMAN SERVICES. However, we do welcome assistance dogs on board. If you will be bringing an assistance dog with you please ensure you inform us at the time of booking. If booking online you can do this in the notes section when at check out or by calling us to inform us.
Access to the stations will be for ticket holders only.

Please note we are unable to accept any requests for seating, this includes requests regarding where you are on the train or which way round you are facing.
With this service you will be facing forwards in one direction and backwards in the other direction which unfortunately is unavoidable.
