Family Rug Art

Discover the traditional rag rug technique of hooking (known as “proddy” or “peggy”) using beautiful waste fabrics.

Create a small prodded piece while learning all the skills needed to complete a textile artwork for the wall or for a project of your choice – a small seat cover or cushion perhaps. Bring your own design or get inspired by artist Sally Light’s mix and match collection of design motifs. You can even bring your own fabrics if you wish (upholstery or stiff fabrics not recommended).

This workshop is for children and young people aged 16+ accompanied by an adult. Adults are attending to support their child rather than take part themselves. Tickets are for 1 child and 1 adult. If you are attending with several children, each child will require a ticket.
