Computer World (CW) is a monthly club night dedicated to playing the very best of before, during and after the 80s electro pop, new wave and alternative / electronic music, with dashes of disco, punk and goth.....and the odd curveball here and there!
Pump Up The 80s (PUMP) is an occasional all-genres club night celebrating the great, the good and the ever-so-slightly cheesy tunes of the 80s! Whether your bag is Ska, Mod, 2-Tone, Disco, Rock, New Romantic, Goth or Pop, there's guaranteed to be something for everyone!
13 July will be the 40th anniversary of the most remarkable live music event to have ever taken place - LIVE AID. Our July Computer World club session takes place on Saturday the 12th, ending at half midnight on the 13th, which is more than close enough to make this a crossover event with PUMP UP THE 80s, compiling a five hour playlist dedicated to the artists that appeared (and the songs that were played, a mix of live and studio versions) that day. OK, it's true that it lasted considerably longer than we can cover during our five hour session, BUT, we will play at least one dancefloor-friendly track from as many of those artists as possible, and as close as possible to the original running order.....which means that we'll HAVE TO get under way with STATUS QUO!
Join us for this uniquely themed event, combining the very best of our two club nights, paying tribute to the enduring memory of LIVE AID.
80's-style fancy dress not compulsory, but we love seeing the Boy George looky-likeys, Don Jonsons, Top Gun pilots and Freddie Mercurys with hoovers, so it's always encouraged!
