Come and join our lovely Patchwork Tutor Jo of Paloma Makes in making this wonderful Drawstring Bag in an all day workshop suitable for those that can already sew. Please bring your own sewing machine, thread, mat, ruler & rotary cutter and basic sewing kit.
You will need:
*0.5m tapestry fabric*
(this gives the structure to the bag. Some people have used canvas, not as strong but has been OK. If you insist on using craft cotton you would need to add strength with wadding or interfacing. Also tapestry fabric is about 55" wide....if your fabric is narrower you need more!)
*1m Craft Cotton* for bag upper
*0.5m Lining* could be craft cotton but a lot have used calico as it's cheaper and you don't see much
*0.5m Vlieseline H640* or similar weight and thickness of fusible wadding
*2.5m Webbing* for the handles
*2m Cord* for the drawstring
Just to clarify, following a message from one of the attendees, the £2.50 is for the base Bosal. You still need 0.5m of Vlieseline H640 fusible wadding.
The morning will be spent cutting and the afternoon will be spent making.
