Pugwash WonderRide is an exciting children's bicycle race—a perfect holiday event for the whole family! Young cyclists between the ages of 2 and 17 can participate on bicycles or balance bikes, with each participant receiving medals and prizes for their efforts. Parents, grandparents, and spectators are encouraged to cheer on these athletes and join in the fun.
Race Details:
- Participants will compete in age categories, ensuring fair and exciting races for all skill levels.
- Wheel diameter will also be considered to match riders with appropriate competition groups.
- Any bicycle in good working condition is allowed, with parents responsible for ensuring their child's bike is safe.
- Helmets are mandatory (free rentals will be available).
- Older participants using toe-clips or contact pedals must race independently—parental assistance at the start or on the track is prohibited. Event staff will be available if needed.
- The event runs from 12 PM to 5 PM, featuring not only exciting races but also educational and entertainment programs for families.
Registration Information:
- Pre-registration is required.
- The $20 registration fee helps cover participants' expenses and supports the *recreation and events programs* offered on behalf of the village.
- The fee is payable on race day upon collection of the start number.
