Autor jutustab raamatust ning kaasas on tõlk Tanel Velli-Vällik. (üritus toimub inglise keeles)

Raamatu autor on kirjanik, andmeteadlane ja muusik Stephanie Rendón, kes tuli Eestisse 2014. aastal doktoriõpingute ja töö tõttu. Eriti paelus teda Setomaa, mis lummas teda nii palju, et ta otsustas siia jääda ning kirjutas oma teekonnast raamatu. Me räägime mõnusalt Mehhikost, Eestist, kultuurišokkidest Ladina-Ameerika ja Põhja-Euroopa kultuuride vahel, uute juurte omandamisest, ühtekuuluvustundest ja kirjandusest.

Book presentation: The Journey From Mexico to Setomaa“- Stephanie Rendón

We invite you to the presentation of Stephanie Rendón's "The Journey From Mexico to Setomaa" on Sunday, August 10, at 16:00 at Tasku Keskus Rahva Raamat!

The author will talk about the book, accompanied by translator/cinematographer Tanel Velli-Vällik.

The author is writer, data scientist, and musician, who came to Estonia in 2014. Particularly, Setomaa captivated her so much that she decided to stay and wrote a book about her journey. We will have a good time talking about Mexico, Estonia, cultural shocks between Latin America and North Europe cultures, acquisition of new roots, the feeling of belonging and literature.
The event will be in English.

On the day of the presentation, the book has 10% discount at Rahva Raamat.
