Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s beautiful musical score, re-choreographed by Ballet Taos Artistic Director, Megan Yackovich (after Marius Petipa), will appeal to audiences of all ages. Lilac Fairy takes us on a quest to save Princess Aurora and her kingdom from Carabosse’s jealous rage. The captivating storyline enchants audiences throughout and ends with a celebration of the “happily ever after”.
Featuring professional company dancers and select students, the production is among a series of full-length classical and contemporary ballets the company has presented over the past eight seasons. Ballet Taos is excited to introduce to our community a classical ballet favorite!

🌟William Wisneskey🌟 as Prince Désire👑
Will, is currently in his second season with the Grand Rapids Ballet, a role he took on after graduating from the Houston Ballet Academy in 2023. His training and performances span various companies across the United States and the United Kingdom. Last summer, he had the opportunity to perform in Swan Lake in-the-round at Royal Albert Hall with the English National Ballet. He has also appeared in guest roles with Richter Ballet (CA), Victoria Ballet (TX), and Ballet Taos—his "home" company❤️—where he has danced in numerous featured roles and originated pieces alongside Megan Yachovich and Jock Soto. When he returns to Taos, he eagerly supports Ballet Taos through teaching and performing.
🌟Willow Bowman🌟as Princess Aurora👑
Hailing from Carson, Willow has dedicated countless hours to follow her passion for dance. She is a Company Soloist with Ballet Taos, sporting an impressive resume. Willow has participated in prestigious summer programs at Nutmeg Conservatory and the International Youth Ballet of Denver, earning accolades and high merit in the Youth America Grand Prix and Universal Ballet Competitions. To date, her leading roles with Ballet Taos include Clara and Sugar Plum Fairy in our annual Nutcracker performances, the Snow Maiden in 'The Snow Maiden,' Alice in 'The Adventures of Alice,' and Cinderella in 'Cendrillon,' alongside numerous leading roles in contemporary works.
The challenging role of Lilac Fairy🧚🏻♀️will be portrayed by 🌟Isabel Berry🌟 another Soloist with Ballet Taos. After graduating from Ballet Taos, Isabel has taken on the roles of rehearsal director and faculty member for our Young Dancers Division. Her most recent leading roles encompass the Snow Queen and Dew Drop in our annual Nutcracker productions, Winter Fairy in 'Cendrillon,' Summer Movement in 'The Snow Maiden,' and various solos and pas de deux created specifically for her by Mr. Jock Soto.
