Doc Remick’s Harness Horse History Tour

For the namesake country doctors of the Remick Country Doctor Museum & Farm in Tamworth, New Hampshire, horses were beloved. This is most evident in the collection of Dr. Edwin C. Remick (1903-1993) and his personal history with harness racing. Take a guided walk on the historic farmstead grounds to visit the horse stable and the apartment he shared with his wife, Marion Miles Remick (also a fan of harness racing), to learn all about harness racing in New England and the equine history on the property.

This tour will focus on the history of horses on the farmstead, as animals are not being raised on the property at this time.

Note: It is necessary to climb stairs to visit the Dr. and Mrs. Edwin Remick apartment located on the 2nd floor of the Museum Center.

Tour length: Approximately 1 hour
Limited to 12 visitors
Ages 12+, ages 17 and under must be accompanied by an adult
