Tervetuloa muistelemaan menneitä, ideoimaan tulevaa ja kellumaan ajan virran nostalgiassa Pispalan nykytaiteen keskuksella Hirvitalolla! Luvassa on puutarhajuhla, pihatanssit hanurin tahtiin, ilmaista patch-työpajaa ja vaatteiden korjausta, sekä nostalgiseen asuun sonnustautuneen elävän mallin piirtämistä.
Nykytaiteen keskuksemme toimii 101-vuotiaassa Hirvitalossa, jonka komeaa ikävuotta juhlistamme näyttelyteemalla Paikan muisti. 101 vuotta historiaa, ja kuitenkin joka vuosi kulttuuritalon väki vaihtuu ja katsoo asioita uusin, kirkkain silmin. Pysytään aina innokkaina aloittelijoina, valmiina oppimaan uutta. Toisaalta vaalitaan myös sitä sisäistä vanhaa kurttua, joka voi valistaa muita asioista, jotka on oppinut kantapään kautta.
Historia peilautuu myös nykyaikaan, ja voimme paitsi oppia menneisyydestä, ehkä myös korjata sen virheitä luomalla uutta. Tule luomaan ja tekemään löytöjä!
💡 Tapahtumien yönä tarjoamme alkeispajat Paikanteko 101 – korjaus- ja paikkaustyöpaja, ja Croquis 101 – elävän mallin piirtäminen. Croquis-työpajassa on 5€ materiaalimaksu. Omat piirtovälineet on suositeltavia, mutta Hirvitaloltakin löytyy välineitä tarvittaessa. Hirvitalon välineistä voi maksaa erillisen vapaaehtoisen materiaalimaksun. Paikkaustyöpaja on ilmainen.

• Open stage-tilaisuus, jonne kaikki ovat tervetulleita jakamaan oppeja, ihmetyksiä ja muistoja alueesta
• Kusti Vuorinen swing-orkesteri, jonka tahtiin pannaan jalalla koreasti pihantanssin merkeissä!
🌳 Pihalla paikalliset taiteilijat myyvät teoksiaan, kokemukseen tai ikävuosiin katsomatta. Taidemyynnin puolella on myös mahdollista kuvauttaa itsestään vanhanaikainen, mustavalkoinen ja kehystetty potretti, jonka saa mukaansa (liikkuva valokuvaamo Fokus Pokus).

Join us to reminisce about the past, brainstorm ideas for the future and float in the nostalgia of the flow of time at the Pispala contemporary art center Hirvitalo! We will have a garden party, an old timey yard dance to the beat of a good old accordion, a free patch and clothes repair workshop, as well as croquis / gesture drawing of a model dressed in nostalgic attire.
Pispala Contemporary Art Center operates in the 101-year-old Hirvitalo, whose grand anniversary we are celebrating with the exhibition theme “Memory of Place”. 101 years of history, and yet every year the people of the art center change and look at things with new, bright eyes. We always remain eager beginners, ready to learn new things. On the other hand, we also cherish that inner old curt who can enlighten others about things we have learned the hard way.
History reflects to the present, so we might learn from the past, and perhaps correct its mistakes by creating something new. Come create and make discoveries!
💡 During the Nocturnal Happening, we offer two beginner workshops, Patching up 101 – a repair and patch workshop, and Croquis 101 – gesture drawing workshop. The croquis workshop has a 5€ material fee. Bringing your own drawing materials is recommended, but Hirvitalo also has materials to offer if needed. Hirvitalo’s materials can be used for a separate small voluntary fee. The patch workshop is free of charge. Info on the workshops’ schedule will be available closer to the event, check our social media @hirvitalo!
🎵 Up on the stage we will see:
• Anneli Holmström with her performance piece Dream Fire, that coincides with her art exhibition HORSE.MONKEY.SHADOW.CLIFF
• Humppa K. Hasardi with their stage poetry performance
• An open stage where everyone is welcome to share lessons, wonders and memories of the area, or life in general
• Kusti Vuorinen swing-orchestra, to the beat of which everyone is welcome to shake a leg at the yard dance!
🌳 In the yard, local artists will sell their works, regardless of experience or age. There will also be a unique opportunity to get old timey, black and white framed portraits of yourself and your friends (mobile photography studio Fokus Pokus).
