The Leaders you Need: Book Presentation and Q&A with author Karen Brown

Chicago-based, award-winning author Karen Brown, who has 35 years of experience in corporate operations and has lived, worked, and traveled to almost 90 countries, will share her most recent book and speak about her experience hosting exchange students in the U.S. Her book
"The Leaders You Need" won the bronze medal in the Leadership category from the 2025 Axiom Awards and draws on her vast experience to provide business leaders and management with an innovative, field-tested framework for their leadership and management teams to survive and thrive. Readers of the book will gain practical knowledge about how to become leaders who create opportunities for everyone on their teams to learn, grow, and fulfill their full potential.
Some of the key takeaways from the book include how to build strong partnerships with stakeholders, how to cultivate a culture of role models, and how to define objectives and outcomes with data.
The book presentation will be followed by a Q&A, short discussion of Mrs. Brown's experience hosting international students in the United States, and networking.
