Kolmapäeval, 21.mail, toimub Kopli 93 aias loeng teemal “Mulla tervis linnaaias”.
Aeda tuleb mullaökoloog Piret Vacht. Piret tutvustab meile aiakastidest võetud mullaproovide tulemusi ning räägib mulla tervisest laiemalt.
Aprilli alguses võeti pistelised mullaproovid Kopli 93 aiakastidest ning möödunud sügisel rajatud peenramaalt. Analüüsiti mulla pH-d ning orgaanilise aine ja raskemetallide sisaldust. Mulla uuringule järgneb hooaja lõpus raskemetallide analüüs ka samades peenardes kasvanud taimedest.

On Wednesday, May 21, a lecture on “Soil Health in the Urban Garden” will take place at the Kopli 93 garden.
Soil ecologist Piret Vacht will be joining us. Piret will present the results of soil samples taken from the garden beds and talk more broadly about soil health.
In early April, random soil samples were taken from the garden beds at Kopli 93, including those established last autumn. The samples were tested for pH levels, organic matter, and heavy metal content. At the end of the growing season, a follow-up analysis will examine the levels of heavy metals in plants grown in the same beds.
