Pühapäeval, 25.mail kell 17 kõlab Tallinna Filharmoonia Mustpeade maja Valges saalis Joseph Haydni ühe ikoonilisema teose, Trompetikontserdi kõrval Avamäng in D, mis on samas ka Sümfoonia nr.53 finaal.
Kontserdil tuleb ettekandele helilooja Sümfoonia nr.63, alapealkirjaga „La Roxelane”, mille II osa on pärit Haydni muusikast prantsuse näidendikirjutaja ning teatridirektori Charles Simon Favarti lavateosele, kus peategelaseks on Ottomani Impeeriumi võimsa sultani, Suleiman I seaduslik abikaasa Roxelana, mõjukas naine, kellest sai alguse ajalooperiood, mis on tuntud kui "Kadınlar saltanatı" ehk “Naiste Sultanaat”. See sai võimalikuks üksnes sultani tulise kiindumuse tõttu oma abikaasasse, Roxelanasse.
Tangokuningas Astor Piazzolla teose „Le Grand Tango” kohta saab lugeda ajakirjast „Strings”: „See on Argentiina kultuuri ja kirgede muusikaline väljendus. Selles on kõike. Teos paneb meid tantsima, laulma, nutma, vaidlema ja isegi naerma.”

On Sunday, May 25th, at 17:00, the White Hall of the Tallinn Philharmonic's Blackheads' House will host a performance featuring Haydn's Overture in D, originally the finale of Symphony No. 53, alongside his iconic Trumpet Concerto.
The main piece of this concert is the 2nd movement of Symphony No. 63, subtitled "La Roxelane." This movement was originally part of Haydn's incidental music for Charles Simon Favart's stage work. Roxelana was the chief consort and first Haseki Sultan of the Ottoman Empire, as well as the legal wife of Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent. She became one of the most powerful and influential women in Ottoman history, and the first of a series of prominent Ottoman women who reigned during the period known as the Sultanate of Women. This was possible due to the Sultan's deep affection for Roxelana.
Information about Astor Piazzolla's "Le Grand Tango" can be found in Strings magazine, which describes it as: "It is a musical expression of Argentine culture and passions. It has everything. It makes us dance, sing, cry, argue, and even laugh."
