Join us for the inaugural meeting of the Book Club on May 29 at 5:30 pm at the Tallinna Liivalaia Raamatukogu!
We will discuss Hemingway’s classic, "The Old Man and the Sea," a timeless tale of perseverance, pride, and the human spirit. Whether it's your first read or a revisit, this is a great opportunity to explore Hemingway's storytelling and share your insights with fellow readers. You are welcome to read the book in any language that is convenient for you, but please note that our discussions will be held in English.
Hosts:
1. Dr. Michael Guo-Brennan is a professor at Troy University in the United States. His research and writing focus on public policy, education, migration, and community engagement. He is in Tallinn on a U.S. Fulbright Scholar award at Tallinn University. Michael is also a musician and plays a variety of instruments. He also enjoys reading fiction and non-fiction from a variety of authors.
2. Dr. Linyuan Guo-Brennan is a university professor whose scholarly work focuses on teacher education, international education, and global education. She is a visiting professor at Tallinn University and enjoys reading and writing about the world for academic and non-academic purposes.
