Battlejämm on tantsu- ja etenduskunstnike kohtumispaik, mis kutsub üles eksperimenteerima enda keha, ruumi ja ajaga. Battle’i mängureeglite järgi asuvad kunstnikud üksteisega 1vs1 formaadis jämmima. See on hea võimalus lasta tundmatusel ennast kanda ning panna proovile enda lavanärv. Battlejämm on koht, kus võid olla habras, toores, naljakas ja lummav. Piisab soovist olla kohal ja reageerida!
Battle’i formaadi puhul väärtustame eelkõige asjaolu, et osalejad ei pea lavale astumiseks kindlat materjali ette valmistama, endale ruumi või produktsiooni leidma, vaid vajalikud tingimused on tagatud korraldajate poolt. Kuigi tantsubattle’id on Eestis populaarsed, siis kaasaegse tantsu- ja etenduskunstnikel puudub enamasti võimalus ilma spetsiifilisema ettevalmistuseta üles astuda.

Happening performance kategoorias innustame osalejaid enda keha kaudu avastama võimalusi, mis selles ruumis ja ajas eksisteerivad. Happening performance’is väärtustatakse etendaja lavalist kohalolu, suutlikkust kaasata publikut, kohaspetsiifilisusega mängimist ning leidlikkust luua kontakti oma keha, objektide ja heli vahel. Kuigi osaleja peamiseks vahendiks on keha, ei ole siin tantsutehnika vajalik. Seetõttu on oodatud kõik, keda huvitab eksperimenteerimine!

BATTLEJÄMM is a meeting place for dance and performance artists that invites everyone to experiment with the body, space and time. According to the rules of the Battle, artists in different categories come to jam with each other in a 1vs1 format. This is a good opportunity to let the unknown carry yourself and put your stage nerve to the test. Battlejämm is a place where you can be fragile, raw, funny and enchanting. What matters is the wish to be present and reactive!
In the case of the Battle format, we value above all the fact that the participants do not have to prepare specific material, find a space or production to take the stage, but the given conditions for performance are created by the organizers. Regardless of the popularity of dance battles in Estonia, contemporary dance and performance artists rarely have the opportunity to perform without prior preparation.

In the Happening performance category, we encourage participants to explore the possibilities that exist in this space and time through their own bodies. Happening performance values the performer's stage presence, ability to engage the audience, playing with site specificity, and inventiveness in creating contact between their body, objects, and sound. Although the participant's main tool is the body, dance technique is not required here. Therefore, everyone who is interested in experimentation is welcome!
