We are so excited to kick off our 2025-26 season for Music For Food with our first concert, "All in the Family" on Sunday, October 5 at 4:30pm at Grace Lutheran Church. This is the first of 4 programs this year, and we hope you'll come out to enjoy some good music and help us fight hunger in our community.
This program features two lovely songs set to the poetry of Samuel Taylor Coleridge, a short and delightful showpiece for solo violin by Coleridge-Taylor Perkison, and the sublime clarinet quintet by Samuel Coleridge-Taylor. We hope you can join us for this unique and inspiring program, where we will discuss our journey through the timeline and connections (both musical and literal) of these fantastic composers!
Our accomplished cast of performers include Leslie Hefner, Caroline and Jonathan Holden, Dean Peiskee, Lee Taylor, and Greg Sauer
Music For Food Tallahassee is an all-volunteer, musician-led initiative to fight hunger in our community, and we're part of a national organization with 22 chapters across the country. Our concert is free, but we'll be collecting non-perishable food and monetary donations; 100% of the funds raised will benefit the FSU Food for Thought Pantry.
Donations may be made by cash, check payable to the FSU Foundation, or online at
https://dsst.fsu.edu/foodpantry Suggested donation is $20/adult, $5/student, and non-perishable food donations are welcomed.
We sincerely hope you'll join us to enjoy an afternoon of music to nourish our souls and help us collect food to nourish our community. Please spread the word, and we'll look forward to seeing you there!
