Black Fig Gallery is proud to announce the first ever Plateau Art Prize.
This year’s theme: Familiar & Strange invites artists to explore the tension between the known and the unknown, the comforting and the unsettling and to uncover beauty in unexpected places. Beauty that unsettles or beauty that's overlooked. Beauty that makes us question what beautiful means at all. Finding juxtaposed points of interest.
Prize Pool: $2,000
$1,000 Major Prize – by Judges
$500 Curator’s Choice – by Gallery Director and team
$250 People’s Choice – Community Votes
$250 Emerging / Encouragement Award – by Judges

Major and People’s Choice winners receive a paired exhibition spot at Black Fig Gallery — all fees covered.
