We've been steadily making progress since the tornado in May 2024 caused massive damage to our buildings and grounds. Thanks to the work of our Board, we’ve cleaned up the worst of the mess and handled the big jobs that needed heavy equipment. Huge thanks to LCHA’s leadership for organizing all of that and keeping things safely moving forward.
Now we need your help!
We’re hosting a work day on Sunday, February 15, 2026, and we’re hoping you’ll come lend a hand. We’ll meet at the clubhouse at 8:00 a.m., but come whenever you can—we’ll be working most of the day. Lunch is on us for everyone who helps. If you're able to attend, please respond here and let us know so we can plan accordingly for lunch.
Here’s the list of projects we’re trying to knock out. We know we won’t finish it all in one day (and some might be done ahead of time), but these are the big things we need to get done before our first event. We have tools/materials available for the work, but if you’d like to bring any of your own, feel free!
• Remove and replace broken arena posts and boards
• Paint all arena fences (main arena, alley, warm-up arena)
• Pressure wash announcer’s booth
• Paint wood surfaces of announcer’s booth
• Trim back tree limbs and vegetation from arena fences
• String trim and mow around arena fences
• Cut down pine trees near old power outlet/post
• Remove outlet/buried wire
• Find and mark holes in grounds
• Fill holes with dirt
• Rake debris out of arenas
• Drag/till arenas
• Test and replace arena lights
• Test and replace arena speakers
• Gather up sticks/debris on the ground.
We really hope to see you there—we can't make our comeback without your help.
