2025 Artist Residency Concert with Matthew Sabatella and the Rambling String Band

The Florida Folklife Program is excited to share this event as a part of our yearly Artist-In-Residence Concert series. This year's FREE concert will be held at Florida State University’s Longmire Alumni Building Room 201 on September 27, 2025 from 7-8:30 PM, and will feature Matthew Sabatella and the Rambling String Band as our artists in residence.

Matthew Sabatella and the Rambling String Band connect people with music that is woven into the fabric of the United States. Carrying on the tradition of old-time, pre-bluegrass string bands and songsters, they raise the roof with traditional folk songs, fiddle tunes, old-time country, bluegrass, Appalachian music, ragtime, blues, spirituals, railroad and cowboy songs, work songs, sea shanties, reels, breakdowns, ballads, and more.

The show is free and open to the public, with doors open at 6:30 pm. We encourage all who are fans of these musical traditions to come out!
