Please join us for the 18th anniversary Peace Village Festival. We started in 2007, and this year someone who came to Peace Village as a child is coming back to perform an amazing set on main stage! As the world keeps turning, we are Dreaming Big and Staying Strong! We invite you to do the same!

Peace Village is a small, family-friendly, 3-day Festival which hosts about 500 paid attendees each day (plus musicians, presenters, vendors, volunteers, and staff) for a weekend-to-be-remembered at Jackson Wellsprings Hot Mineral Springs Resort in Ashland, Oregon.

Renowned for our carefully curated musical lineups of eclectic singer-songwriters, world folkloric song collectors, and masterful musicians ~ as well as late night electronic dance and pool parties ~ we have some of our favorite artists returning this year (some from recent years, and others from further back in our history) along with a few new discoveries, plus one amazing artist we have admired from afar and are extremely excited to share with you for her Peace Village debut, as our Saturday night main stage headliner!

Our afternoon and evening performances take place on an outdoor earth and stone stage with a steep hillside behind it, in a lush, sacred meadow, creating a strong, grounded comm-unity vibe. We also feature group participation song circles with some of our musicians, yoga sessions, cacao ceremonies, unique workshops, our healing sanctuary, kid village, the Goddess Temple of Ashland, an artisan and vendor village, and so much more!

Having started in 2007, Peace Village Festival is the longest running and one of the largest Summer Music, Arts, and Wellness Festivals in Southern Oregon! This year's Peace Village Festival will take place June 27-29 at Jackson Wellsprings Hot Mineral Springs Resort in Ashland, Oregon, from 4pm - 2:30am on Friday, 11am - 2:30am on Saturday, & 11am - 11pm Sunday.

Featuring a local and national lineup of world renowned and beloved musicians, the festival offers both familiar and new music in a variety of genres.

MAINSTAGE MUSIC LINEUP
We are ever-so-excited to announce this year's main stage music lineup:

• AYLA NEREO
Saturday Headliner

"One of the most poignant voices currently floating about… Ayla Nereo is an otherworldly artist who shares the fruits of her soul." ~ The Huffington Post

Ayla Nereo is a singer, composer, producer, dancer, and visual-poetry creator raised among the Northern California forests and rivers. Called a "bridger of sound," Ayla dances between timeless and modern, with a particular joy for cross-pollinating musical styles. Her songs seem a genre unto their own, as she moves between vocal looping, produced beats, live drumming, orchestral string arrangements, Celtic melodies, disco rhythms, electronic soundscapes, and even dashes of hip-hop wordplay.Having an uncanny ability to crack open the heart, Ayla's music is an ode to the wonder of being human, inviting us deeper into the exquisite and innately psychedelic dream of this moment. This will be Ayla Nereo's first time playing at Peace Village, which exhilerates us!

• MaMuse
Sunday Headliner

("Ma" as in Mamma; "Muse" as in the one who inspires)

MaMuse was born out of a collaboration between songwriters Karisha Longaker and Sarah Nutting. 2008 was a year of great alchemy. Fires erupted in Northern California, a great wind of inspiration blew through, catalyzing a series of songs written from the soil and rivers, ash and heat of Chico where these two musicians met.

In the early days these troubadours toted instruments around town by bicycle and shared their songs at farmers markets, community gatherings, small cafes and festivals. Not too long after, these two voices became iconic to the Chico community, representing idyllic values of friendship, community, love for nature and care for Self and World. MaMuse has played at Peace Village once before, quite a few years ago... and we are so glad they are coming back!

• FREE CREATURES
Friday Headliner

Not quite any genre, yet accepted by all fans.

Northwest power trio Free Creatures is rapidly gaining beastly momentum. The group features emcee & producer Marv Ellis remixing original beats on an MPC live while rapping and freestyling in his beloved and charismatic style. Marv is joined by the smooth, sweet, feminine swagger of upright bassist, singer and trumpet player, Emily Turner, and the riveting soul effects of intentional riffs and mind-bending solos from upside-down leftie electric guitar wizard Skyler Squglio.
Last year Free Creatures opened for Dirtwire in 8 major NW cities, then continued to tour nationally, promoting their newest releases. This will be Free Creatures' first time playing at Peace Village. Emily Turner has played at Peace Village once before, with another band, quite a few years ago.

• SOULE-A-MENTE (Good Shield Aguilar & Mignon Geli)
Friday

Indigenous Soul Music... anywhere between acoustic, folk, funk, and rock, with contemporary-traditional wit.
Soul-A-Mente is a Native American Music duo composed of Good Shield Aguilar on guitar and vocals and Mignon Geli on Native American Flute. Good Shield is an Oglala Lakota and Pasqua Yaqui singer/songwriter and activist who played here once before in 2016 and was well received. Mignon is his good friend and a Native Elder, and their music blends together naturally. They play Indigenous Soul Music... anywhere between acoustic, folk, funk, and rock, with contemporary-traditional wit. Good Shield has played once before at Peace Village in 2016. This will be Mignon's (and Soul-A-Mente's) first time playing at Peace Village.

• ALCYON MASSIVE
Friday

Alcyon Massive’s live performances are a fusion of dynamic beats, infectious grooves, and heartfelt lyrics, creating a vibrant space for people to connect and feel empowered.
Local sensation Alcyon Massive will be joining us with his full band, including Matty Narmis (from Indubious) on drums, Andy Casad on lead guitar, and Rabbit on bass. Fusing elements of hip-hop, roots rock, folk, and reggae, Alcyon Massive delivers high-energy, engaging live performances that attract devoted fans from near and far! Alcyon Massive has played at Peace Village several times, including last year. You are probably familiar with his hit song "Ain't it Fresh? (The Oregon Song)." Alcyon has played several times at Peace Village, including last year.

• CHANCES R GOOD
Saturday

Chances R Good studies and creates works of art that pay homage to the sacred philosophies and ancient spiritual practices on earth and beyond.

• SARA TONE
Saturday

"Old school PDX/Cascadia crew all know that @saratonehome is the OG eco-songstress prayer maker ancestral poet shamanic troubadour whose music has been holding down the vibes and ecological prayers here for so many years." ~ Simon Yugler, Author of 'Psychedelics and the Soul'

Cascadian Roots - Sonic Balm:For nearly 2 decades Portland based musician, educator, and activist, Sara Tone has shared her love songs for the Earth as a multi-instrumentalist. Expressing herself through powerful lyrics, voice, guitar, baritone uke, kalimba, ocarina, and an assortment of percussion instruments. Her style ranges from a deep soul, rooted in a world-folk vibe, with an undeniable hip-hop influenced lyrical approach. More than songs, there's an intention and vibe created and held, a collective power of presence and gratitude that emanates within the music. Sara Tone has played numerous times at Peace Village, including the past two years.

• MAX RIBNER
Saturday

Bridging the gap between stage and audience, Max Ribner and local artists welcome you to an immersive experience/workshop where we all become part of the orchestra

What are the common threads that bridge soulful music to spiritual connection and community service? This is the question that drives international touring artist and Berklee School of Music graduate, Max Ribner (he, him). The sound is rich, reverent, and intimate, connecting us through the lineage of music, to the stories of our ancestors. Max's unique and fusion-inspired approach to Flugelhorn and trumpet has led him to perform with artists such as Rising Appalachia, Nahko And Medicine For The People, and Trevor Hall.

Max's current performance style is circular. He brings the performance down from the stage to be with the people. Somewhere between a concert and a song circle, Max calls this a "Community Song Experience." Max Ribner has played numerous times at Peace Village, including the past two years.

• CHRIS BERRY & OLIVIA ESME
Sunday

“Chris Berry picked up where Paul Simon left off. Chris’ music glides across all racial and ethnic lines making everyone feel at home within the music. The conscious lyrics are a road map for humanity and Chris is one of the few people able to carry this message to a wide audience.” ~ Michael Kang from String Cheese Incident

Grammy award winner Chris Berry is an eclectic singer and songwriter, multi-instrumentalist virtuoso, and high-energy performer and teacher. From his humble beginning in Zimbabwe where he studied at Zimbabwe College of Music, he has blasted his powerful Afro-infused sound around the World for over twenty years; rocking audiences from NYC to sold out stadiums in South Africa and Sydney Australia’s famous Opera House. He has released over a dozen albums; scored the soundtrack for three films; and has been collaborating and performing with some of the World’s best performers like Eminem, Grateful Dead drummer Bill Kreutzmann, Senegalese Afro-Pop sensation Yousoou N’dour, and many others.

Chris Berry is a renowned vocalist, masterful drummer, and mbira player steeped in the wisdom of African rhythm. He’ll be accompanied by his partner, songstress Esme Olivia. Esme’s angelic voice and her guitar bring a feminine flare to Chris’ masculine force. Together they channel vocal sounds and inspirational lyrics throughout the set. It is their intention for this music to seed new culture with songs to sing together. Chris Berry played once before at Peace Village, back in 2010 when he brought a marimba band with him from Zimfest! This will be Esme Olivia's first time here.
“Carrying the torch for tomorrow” ~ Harry Belafonte

• ELIAS ALEXANDER
Sunday

Elias achieved international attention in Feb. 2024 when his song FIDDLE DISCO! went viral on Instagram, leading to articles in The National Newspaper Scotland and BNN News, and radio play on BBC Scotland.

Elias Alexander is a rare performer who combines live looping and electronics with a wide variety of instruments from bagpipes to fiddle, guitar, whistle and keys. With deep roots in traditional Scottish and American music, but a boundless appetite for possibility, rhythm, and expression, Elias takes audiences on a mind blowing journey through traditional tunes, original songs, and danceable fun.

Elias Alexander grew up in Ashland, Oregon, where he studied pipes and fiddle from a young age. Moving to the east coast in 2009, he made a name for himself as one of the foremost exponents of traditional Scottish music in America, touring with numerous groups and playing many of the top Celtic festivals including. Elias came to experience Peace Village as a child, but this will be his first time playing here.
