Funeral Services for Spanish Teacher Teresa Josephine Leslie of Bertie Backus Jr High School

It is with a heavy heart and profound sadness that we share the news of our beloved mother, Teresa Josefine Leslie. On the 30th of November 2025, Teresa went home to be with the Lord, peacefully surrounded by her family. She was a cherished mother, grandmother, sister, friend and lifelong teacher whose warmth, kindness, and strength touched everyone she met. While we grieve our loss, we find comfort in knowing that she is at peace and watching over us. We invite all who knew and loved her to join us in honoring her life and legacy at the vigil Thursday, December 18, 2025 at the J.B. Jenkins Funeral Home, 7474 Landover Road, Hyattsville, MD 20785 from 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm and/or the final viewing and funeral on Friday, December 19, 2025 at the Nativity Catholic Church, 6001 13th Street NW, Washington DC 20011 at 9:30 am - 12:30 pm. Interment will take place at the Gate of Heaven Catholic Cemetery. Repast will be held at the church around 2 pm.
