Ride Summary:
Group cycle ride departing from Millwater Carpark, heading onto open roads for approximately 2 hours.
This is a non-supported rideΒ·each rider is responsible for their own safety and decisions.
General Safety Guidelines:
- Ride to Your Ability: Know your limits. Only ride at a pace and on terrain you are comfortable with.
- Be Visible: Wear bright or reflective clothing. Use front and rear lights, especially in low-light conditions.
- Helmet Required: Approved cycling helmets must be worn at all times.
- Stay Alert: Be aware of your surroundings, including traffic, road conditions, and other riders.
- Obey Road Rules: Follow all New Zealand road rules and cycling regulations.
- Ride Predictably: Signal your intentions clearly and avoid sudden movements.
- Group Etiquette: Maintain safe distances, communicate hazards, and be courteous to fellow riders and

- Hydration & Nutrition: Bring enough water and snacks for the duration of the ride.

- Self-Sufficiency: Carry a spare tube, pump, basic tools, and a mobile phone.
- Emergency Contact: Have an ICE (In Case of Emergency) contact accessible.
