Join us at Waiheke Library for a talk by Sue Watson, author of Finding Cynthia Winters - a powerful, moving and darkly honest memoir.

One day when Sue Watson was a young woman, she received a letter from her birth mother, Elizabeth Winters, that began a life-long journey to discover the shadowy truth of her past.

After decades in leadership roles and developing leaders in Aotearoa New Zealand, Sue Watson has spent the last three years researching her birth family history and leaning into creative pursuits as a tool for connection, healing and acceptance.

Finding Cynthia Winters is a memoir that shares her experience of reconnecting with the truth of her birth history, and is a personal journey of discovery, human nature, and the nuance of what it means to be a family.
