「聲響交談」第五集 匯聚了 Giacomo Merega、Christian Bucher、Rick Countryman、魏胖（Punch）、PGR、陳穎達與 Tearbarrier，帶來一場前衛爵士與實驗音樂演出。
音樂家們將以不同的小型組合演出，深入節奏互動、吉他質感、電子音景與打擊動態的探索。音樂會最後將由當晚所有藝術家共同進行一段集體即興演出，組成中型樂隊，自由發揮即興音樂。

Giacomo Merega ｜電貝斯
意大利電貝斯演奏家、即興音樂家及作曲家 Giacomo Merega，從Berklee 音樂學院與新英格蘭音樂學院畢業以來，已在紐約即興與新音樂圈活躍十餘年，並以其獨特風格備受矚目。作為領奏或合作樂手，他的錄音作品曾於十多個國家的媒體撰文介紹並在電台播放，其中部分更榮獲美國、意大利、法國、德國、希臘及加拿大的評論獎項。
他的作品由 El Negocito、Hat Hut、Not Two、Infrequent Seams、American Clave、Underwolf 及 Rudi Records 發行。Giacomo 曾在美國、歐洲及亞洲廣泛巡演並舉辦大師班，合作對象涵蓋 Joe Morris、Anthony Coleman、Steve Swallow、Kip Hanrahan、Nate Wooley、Tyshawn Sorey、David Tronzo、Brandon Ross、竹石智 (Satoshi Takeishi)、Dana Colley、Noah Kaplan 及 Mat Maneri 等眾多知名音樂家。
過去十年，他亦為多部舞蹈作品創作音樂，並在三大洲的藝術節及機構演出。他最新的專輯為與吉他手 Joe Morris 合作的二重奏作品《Opus Dichotomous》，已於 2024 年底由 Infrequent Seams 發行
Rick Countryman | 中音薩克斯風
Rick Countryman 是一位專注於自由爵士與自由即興的美國中音薩克斯風演奏家，目前居住在菲律賓。他曾師從 Bert Wilson，學習爵士即興、音程概念及延伸技巧，深受 1960 年代自由爵士樂運動影響，特別是 Eric Dolphy 與 Sonny Simmons。
Rick 已在歐洲、亞洲與美國的廠牌發行二十多張專輯，其中包括與日本鼓手豊住芳三郎（Sabu Toyozumi）的多次合作。他銳利的音色，樂句表達清晰有力，吸引了評論界的關注。
過去十年間，Rick 曾在亞洲與歐洲廣泛演出，合作對象包括 Christian Bucher、Simon Tan 及豊住芳三郎。他近期的發行包含多張二重奏與三重奏專輯，持續在自由即興中探索延伸的形式與質地，並持續在爵士傳統與當代即興之間探索中音薩克斯風的可能性。
Christian Bucher | 爵士鼓、打擊樂器
Christian Bucher 以鼓手及打擊樂家的身分，透過演出與多領域藝術家的合作，他展現了多元的藝術實踐。他曾與繪畫、素描、攝影藝術、雕塑、影像、裝置、行為藝術、建築、文學、戲劇、廣播劇、電影與舞蹈等領域的藝術家合作。
除了個人獨奏外，他亦活躍於多個組合，包括 BUG、Bucher/Countryman、Bucher/Tan/Countryman、Les Mercenaires de l’Amour Fou 及 WIM Zug，並參與多張專輯錄製、電台與電視節目，以及於各國音樂節演出。
他曾在全球 53 個國家的歐洲、非洲、亞洲、澳洲及南北美洲演出巡迴。
王群婷｜低音大提琴�英國Guildhall School of Music and Drama，MMus & MPerf，Jazz Performance
台灣藝術大學音樂學系學士文憑同時具備紮實的古典音樂訓練背景，並致力於爵士樂及跨域演出的女性音樂家。
2014 獲選兩廳爵士夏令營最佳Bass手，並於隔年擔任兩廳院爵士音樂研習營講師。2013-2016 受邀至英國倫敦參與時裝品牌APUJAN 音樂製作及現場演出。2019 獲得台中爵士音樂節新秀大賽第三名，同年更受邀擔任9m88《平庸之上Beyond Mediocrity 》巡迴樂手。2020 獲選台北爵士音樂節最佳樂團並受邀於主舞台大安森林公園演出。自2019 回台後立即成為各大爵士音樂節上的新寵兒。
2022 參與衛武營週年慶 4.0 與五樓創意共同製作演出的特別節目《Bonfire 你怕黑嗎？》2023 參與C-LAB聲響藝術節- IRCAM《大都會》電影音樂會亞洲首演；2024 擔任衛武營爵士週- 黃瑞豐爵士五奏《爵代豐華》貝斯手；除了參與不同的音樂類型演出與製作，也與國內外知名音樂家合作包括：Too Many T’s、John Russel、Barry Green、Jason Rebello、黃瑞豐、許郁瑛、謝明諺、曾增譯、陳穎達、羅妍婷、春麵樂隊、Alan Kwan、Ado阿洛、9m88、壞特？te、雷擎、米莎、吱吱郭芝吟、告家等。近年來更受邀到各大音樂節演出，包含：MONDOMiX Festival、Isle of Wight Festival、Edinburgh Jazz & Blues Festival、 Fete Quaqua Festival、 Spitalfields Music Festival、Live Green Festival、 SXSW、臺中爵士音樂節、臺北爵士音樂節、貴人散步、大港開唱、高雄衛武營爵士週、浪人季、世界音樂節等。

魏胖 | 爵士鼓
魏胖曾任台北市民管樂團（2016-2020）、台北樂府樂旗藝術團（2018-2024）、鳳鳴齋國樂團（2023）鼓手。長年研究爵士鼓相關資訊，擅長Funk曲風，深受鼓手Tommy Igoe影響。
目前，他擔任新北市三重高中熱門音樂社指導老師、輔仁大學爵士鋼琴社指導老師，以及268音樂教學部爵士鼓教師。

陳穎達 | 吉他、效果器
吉他⼿︑⾳樂創作者︒至今已發⾏行的四張專輯「R.E.M MOODS」︑「動物感傷」、「離峰 時刻」與「你聽過Beige嗎」皆入圍⾦金⾳音創作獎，並榮獲第六屆「最佳爵士單曲」︑第九屆 「最佳爵士專輯」獎項︒2012年畢業於荷蘭阿姆斯特丹⾳樂學院，返台後活躍於樂壇，曾受邀至婆羅洲⾳樂節、札幌爵⼠士週︑澳⾨門爵⼠週、台北爵士⾳樂節、台中國際爵⼠音樂節、台南貴⼈散步等等。
Tearbarrier | （無）輸入混音器
Tearbarrier 是一個根植於自由即興的計畫，結合貝斯、效果器、電子聲響與回授循環，1. 創造出流動變化的音景。演出中，貝斯即興、細微的噪音及多層次的聲音紋理交織，營造出開闊而沉浸的聲響空間。透過回授循環、效果器與簡易的電子設備，每場演出都探索即興表演與聲音操控之間的交界。
其核心關注於張力、消逝與即時作曲。聲音以漸進的層次彼此融疊，創造出一個讓樂器與電子聲響元素相互交匯的聆聽空間，開放、直接，呈現出自然的沉浸感。

Sound Exchange 5 brings together Giacomo Merega, Christian Bucher, Rick Countryman, Punch (Wei Pang), PGR, Chen Ying‑da, and Tearbarrier for an avant garde jazz and experimental performance. ��The musicians will perform in various small-group combinations, diving into rhythmic interplay, guitar textures, electronic soundscapes, and percussive dynamics across each set. The concert culminates in collective session featuring on artists on the night—a mid-sized ensemble performing freely improvised music.

Giacomo Merega | Electric bass
Italian virtuoso bass guitarist, improviser and composer Giacomo Merega has been an original figure in the New York improv/new music scene for over a decade, after completing his studies in Boston at Berklee and at the New England Conservatory. Giacomo’s recordings as a leader and/or sideman have been written about and aired on radios in a dozen different countries, and some have won critical awards in the US, Italy, France, Germany, Greece and Canada.
His works have been released by El Negocito, Hat Hut, Not Two, Infrequent Seams, American Clave, Underwolf and Rudi Records. Giacomo has toured and presented masterclasses extensively in the US, Europe and Asia, and his long list of collaborators includes acclaimed musicians such as Joe Morris, Anthony Coleman, Steve Swallow, Kip Hanrahan, Nate Wooley, Tyshawn Sorey, David Tronzo, Brandon Ross, Satoshi Takeishi, Dana Colley, Noah Kaplan and Mat Maneri among many others.
In the past decade, Giacomo has also written music for dance that has been performed at festivals and institutions in three continents. Giacomo's most recent record is a duo with guitarist Joe Morris titled Opus Dichotomous, released in late 2024 on Infrequent Seams.

Christian Bucher | Drum set, percussion
Christian Bucher established himself with his concerts as a drummer and as a percussionist and his collaboration with artists in other fields, such as painting, drawing, photo-art, sculpture, video, installation, art performance, architecture, literature, theater, radio play, film and dance.
In addition to his solo work, he is engaged with the duos BUG, Bucher/Countryman, Bucher/Tan/Countryman, Les Mercenaires de l’ Amour Fou and WIM Zug; numerous CD projects, radio and TV appearances, as well as festival appearances in different countries.
He has performed concerts and tours in 53 countries all around Europe, Africa, Asia, Australia, North and South America.
Rick Countryman | Alto saxophone
Rick Countryman is an American alto saxophonist focused on free jazz and free improvisation, currently based in the Philippines. He studied jazz improvisation, intervallic concepts, and extended techniques with Bert Wilson, and is strongly influenced by the 1960s free jazz movement, particularly Eric Dolphy and Sonny Simmons.
Rick has released over 20 albums on labels in Europe, Asia, and the US, including multiple collaborations with Japanese drummer Sabu Toyozumi. His recordings have received critical attention for their sharp tone and intense phrasing.
Over the past decade, Rick has performed widely in Asia and Europe, working with musicians such as Christian Bucher, Simon Tan, and Sabu Toyozumi. His most recent releases include duo and trio albums that explore extended forms and textures within free improvisation, continuing his commitment to developing a personal voice on the alto saxophone rooted in both jazz tradition and contemporary improvisation.
Refa Wang | Double Bass�Refa Wang, from Yunlin, Taiwan, is a distinctive double bassist dedicated to expanding the artistic expression and musical language of the double bass. Trained professionally from a young age, her performance style blends the precision of classical music with the innovation of contemporary forms. She actively engages in interdisciplinary collaborations, reflecting her diverse and profound musical vision.
She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Double Bass from the National Taiwan University of Arts, laying a strong classical foundation. She later pursued further studies in London, earning dual Master’s degrees in Jazz Performance (MMus and MPerf) from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama—becoming the first Taiwanese musician to receive this distinction. During her time in the UK, she immersed herself in European musical aesthetics, improvisation, and cross-cultural collaborations.
Over the past decade, Refa has been active in major music events across Asia and Europe. Her performances span jazz, classical, contemporary works, as well as projects involving dance, theater, and visual arts, earning recognition from both music and art communities. She has also contributed to film scores and experimental recordings, showcasing the versatility and expressive depth of the double bass across genres.
Refa Wang is not only a technically accomplished performer but also a forward-thinking musical creator. She continues to push the boundaries of her instrument and explore new artistic possibilities. She is currently a member of NoMads Factory, whose debut album Elephant On A Pink Leaflet was released in 2024.
Punch (Wei Pang) | Drum Set, Percussion
From 2016 to 2020, Punch (Wei Pang) performed as a drummer with the Taipei Civic Symphonic Band (臺北市民管樂團), then joined the Taipei Yuehfu Drum and Bugle Corps (臺北樂府樂旗藝術團) from 2018 to 2024. In 2023, he also performed with the Feng Ming Zhai Chinese Orchestra (鳳鳴齋國樂團). Deeply immersed in drum-set techniques over the years, he specializes in funk and is deeply influenced by drummer Tommy Igoe.
He currently serves as the instructor for the pop music club at Sanchong High School in New Taipei City, the jazz piano club at Fu Jen Catholic University, and is a drum set teacher at 268 Music School.

Chen Ying-Da | Guitar, Effect Pedals
Guitarist and composer Ying-Da Chen graduated from the Conservatorium van Amsterdam in 2012. To date, he has released four albums: "R.E.M. MOODS,” "Animal Triste,” "Off-Peak Hours,” and "Do You Know Beige?" All four albums have been nominated for Golden Melody Awards and have won both the Best Jazz Single and Best Jazz Album awards. Ying-Da has performed at major events such as the Borneo Music Festival, Sapporo Jazz Week, Macau Jazz Week, Taipei Jazz Music Festival, Taichung International Jazz Music Festival, and Tainan Gueiren Walk.
Tearbarrier | (No)-Input Mixing Board
Tearbarrier is a project rooted in free improvisation, combining bass, pedals, electronics, and feedback loops to create evolving soundscapes. Performances blend bass improvisation with drones, subtle noise, and layered textures to build spacious and immersive sonic environments. Using feedback loops and effects alongside simple electronic setups, each set explores the meeting point between improvised performance and sound manipulation.
At the core is an interest in tension, decay, and real-time composition. Sounds fold into each other in gradual layers, creating a listening space where instrumental and electronic elements come together in a way that is open, direct, and quietly immersive.
