An Evening with Curtis Salgado
Saturday, December 6 • 7:00 PM • 21+
Airport Tavern Music Hall — Tacoma, WA
The Northwest’s own Curtis Salgado—soul-drenched vocalist, powerhouse harmonica player, and the real-life inspiration behind John Belushi’s Blues Brothers—brings a night of deep blues and razor-sharp R&B to Airport Tavern Music Hall. Expect show-stopping vocals, magnetic stories, and rich grooves from a living legend who helped shape the sound of modern American blues.
Salgado is one of the most decorated artists in the blues today: a B.B. King Entertainer of the Year and multi-time Soul Blues Male Artist winner. Most recently, he swept the 2025 Blues Music Awards with Soul Blues Male and Soul Blues Album for Fine By Me. Earlier honors include three BMAs in 2017 and Song of the Year in 2018 for “Walk a Mile in My Blues.”
Beyond the mantle of awards, Salgado’s résumé is stacked—stints with The Robert Cray Band, Roomful of Blues, and even Santana, plus a revered solo catalog on Alligator Records (Soul Shot, The Beautiful Lowdown, Damage Control). He’s a master performer who turns every room into a revival.
Don’t miss a rare, intimate night with a blues icon.
