Welcoming Week is an annual, global movement that celebrates the work in communities to become welcoming places for all.
The week of September 12 - 21, provides individuals and organizations the opportunity to showcase their values through events and initiatives that foster connections and collaboration between immigrants and non-immigrants, as well as belonging for all.
Tacoma Community House is proud to support Welcoming Week in Tacoma and will be hosting Cultivating Belonging - A Welcoming Week Symposium, in partnership with University of Washington Tacoma on September 15th from 9AM - 3PM at William Philip Hall on the UWT campus.
The purpose and goal of the symposium is to learn, inspire, and celebrate our shared vision of a community that is welcoming for all while providing concrete tools to help advance a welcoming community - for those at any level (community member, business owner, advocate, city, county, state official). We hope that you will be called to action as an attendee!
