About the event

Bread and Butter Workshop

(Age 16+) Taste the past at our small group workshop, focusing on the basics of bread and butter. You’ll make bread dough from a 19th century sourdough starter, learn how to use the outdoor bake oven, churn fresh butter, simmer jam on the wood-burning stove, and even try your hand at flipping crumpets! Learn about cooking and baking at Fort Nisqually in the 1850s and enjoy eating the fruits of your labors.
