As so many before him have done our friend Dan Wells has entered the battle with Cancer. Dan is a local Lighting Engineer for National Audio and has been a fixture (get it?) at all of CNY's biggest events for decades.
Dan is known and loved by all. His ability to make friends and get the job done have made him the "go to" guy with all of the areas Best in Live Event Production. Companies like Wizzard Sound, Gaffney Productions, National Audio, and Savvi Productions all have used Dan's expertise to make the show go!
Dan's body of work has been enjoyed at The New York State Fair, Taste of Syracuse, Krockathon, Syracuse JazzFest, Syracuse Bluesfest, all of the areas biggest events and venues have had Dan's stamp on them.
As busy as Dan is and spectrum of large scale shows that he is responsible for designing, he always has time to lend helping hand to a friend. Dan has answered the call for so any of us time and time again. If we need help with a small local show, Dan is there. Have an idea but not sure how to execute it the best way, call Dan'O - he'll figure it out.
His contribution to his company, his freelance clients and his friends is immeasurable. As you can see by the line up for Dan'O Palooza it would appear everyone wants to say "Thank You for being a great guy Dan, we are very happy to help".

When Mike Arney, of Syracuse, was battling cancer in 2006 his family organized a benefit to raise money for his medical expenses. Arney died later that year at 46, after his death, his family wanted to honor Arney's memory by continuing to raise money for other Central New Yorkers battling cancer. The Mike Arney Concert to Rock Out Cancer, or MAC ROC, held its first benefit concert in 2007.
Each year the benefit helps a local person battling cancer or an organization, such as the American Cancer Society. The benefit concert raised thousands for CNY cancer patients and their families and the Upstate Gaisano Children's Hospital.
This year will be the 17th edition of M.A.C.R.O.C - brought back for the 1st time since 2023 for our deserving and much loved recipient DAN WELLS.

The event starts at 1PM, with music, food, raffles and a cash bar and rocks into the night. The actual schedule will be posted soon, but we have some of the areas biggest acts donating their time and talent to help Dan the only way we know how - so, lets play some music, dink a few beers and have some fun for our friend Dan'O!!
