Instructor: Katie Delay
Date: Two consecutive Sundays, November 2+9, from 1pm - 4pm
Price: $120
This class will guide you from "I can't draw a stick figure" to creating loose and expressive drawings.
First Class will cover different pencils and drawing tools, selecting paper, shape and value, basic perspective simplified.
During the interim week, there will be a homework assignment of 15 minutes per day, and we will keep in touch with a closed facebook group.
The Second Class will address composition, applying the skills we have learned and completing a guided drawing.
Age: Adults 18+
Katie Delay is an artist, author, educator who lives, works and plays in NW Ohio. She is passionate about drawing in all media and particularly enjoys botanical drawing and urban sketching. She exhibits nationally, and her work can be found in the collections of the University of Puget Sound, the University of Toronto, Colorado College, UCLA, Yale University and the Omagh Museum in N. Ireland, as well as corporate and private collections. Katie has also been the recipient of the Regional Award for Outstanding Art Educator by the Ohio Art Education Associatiion. She is also an accomplished book maker.
Required Supplies:
graphite pencils HB and 4B
kneaded eraser
white plastic eraser
small sketchbook -- at least 5" x 8" and no larger than 9" x 12"
Cancellation Policy: We will refund 50% for any cancellation made at least eight days before the class. After 8 days, we are unable to provide refunds for any reason, including illness. If you cannot attend after registration, you are welcome to gift your tuition to a friend at no charge. We do not transfer tuition from one class to another.
