Collecting Seeds: The When and the How

It’s that special time of year when the temperatures are getting cooler and the leaves are changing colors. Asters and goldenrods are blooming, and seeds are ripening. Join Penny Niday, Native Plant and Seed Collection Specialist for Metroparks Toledo, in a presentation on seed collecting. Learn how to tell when seeds are ready for collection, how to collect them and what to do with them after collection. A follow up meeting on November 11 will discuss how to store the seeds and how to sow them.
